🚀 jobs + reverse = sboj

I have no idea how to pronounce it and trying hurts my brain...

Good morning 👋,

As I sit here this morning, sipping my coffee and enjoying another loadshedding-free week, I realise how grateful I am for having electricity. This week I explored daily.dev but got really overwhelmed by it and I played around with roadmap.sh, which I still think is a decent tool. I have some great content lined up in this issue and some minor changes to the newsletter. This week, we have a brand new product, a returning product and a win of the week with some extra goodies for the curious.

Enjoy the letter 🚀.

LAUNCH

🧑‍💻 sboj.dev

sboj.dev is a delightful, lightweight platform that let’s you create a profile and connect with potential employers. After creating an account, you can add an intro to your profile with a video as well, helping potential employers know what you look and sound like. While you can also add some basic information including your current work status, experience, skills and expected salary, choosing to hide your profile from certain companies is also an option. This introduces some safety for people looking to change companies but worry about how their current company might react when learning about this. Sboj also:

  • Shows you messages that need your attention.

  • Let’s you share your full profile or a simple preview.

  • Helps employers easily find a talented individual.

Built by Nic Malan, Sboj is an innovative take on reverse job boards, which lets job seekers create profiles while employers search for and contact talent based on skills and qualifications. Instead of applicants applying for jobs, employers reach out to potential candidates.

  • Access to your card transactions

  • Set up custom budgeting and notifications

  • Limit spending on products

  • And more!

If this sounds like something you want to get in to, send me a message to get the ball rolling 🙌.
